God Desires Genuine Repentans
King David sin to Oga God, but he know hin mistakes and he kon repent. He cry to God say, “My God, make You sorry fo mi, bikos of your love weh nor dey fail. Make You forgive mi my sins, bikos You dey sorry fo pipu. Make You wash and klean mi from di bad tins wey I do. Klean mi from all my sins. I know sey i do many bad tins; Bikos I really know all di sins wey I dey kommit. I don really sin against You; I don do bad tins fo your present. Everything wey You dey talk dey right and di way You take judge my kase, dey good. See, na fo inside sin, dem born mi; Yes! Na right from di time wey my mama get my belle. But even before dem born mi, You don plan betta tins fo mi kon dey tish mi wisdom. So make You klean mi from my sin and I go dey klean; make You wash mi and I go white pass snow. My God, make You give mi my joy back and make my bone wey You break, strong again. Make You nor kontinue to dey look my sin, but klean mi from all di bad tins wey I don do. My God, make You put betta heart inside mi and make your spirit strong inside mi too. Nor drive mi komot from your present or take your holy spirit from mi. Make You give mi back di joy wey make mi dey safe, so dat I go dey happy to obey You.” (Psalm 51:1-12).
LESSON
God dey merciful and he go forgive any sin wey dem konfes and repent before am. True-true, God no like sin, and he go only celebrate anybodi we komot from it; however, Di kreator no go ignore any sina wey repent. He go forgive sinas wey repent, and he go give dem di same right fo hin kindom. Howeva, any sina wey no repent go sofa di konsequence of hin aktions fo hell fire. So, all pipu must dey run from sin so dat dem go fit eskape di judgement of God wey go come on sinas wey no repent soon.
PRAYER
Oga God, I know say I be sina wey no sopos get any blessin from you. I don komit plenti sin, and I no dey qualified fo heaven! However, I don know mistake and I don come to you with my heart weh dey humble. Today, I repent from my sin, and I ask say make you forgive me. Abeg komot anything wey sin go don kause fo my life; accept me again as one of di children wey you like, and give me grace so I no go return to my old sin. Keep me to dey stand in good faith, and let me qualify fo your blessing on eart and fo heaven. Wen di end come, make I dey among pipu wey go live with you fo heaven!
