True Love
Children of God must demonstrate true love towards other people; they must also love unbelievers as the scripture required,
“Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also” (Hebrews 13:1-3).
Lesson:
A Christian who claims to truly love God must not nurse hatred in his/her heart. Every child of God is required to act like Jesus Christ in speech and in deed! Believers must seek the welfare of others. We must pray and take proactive steps towards the betterment of other people's lives! Meanwhile, our loving and charity activities are not to be limited to fellow believers only. We must love the unbelievers, and be a true representative of Jesus Christ in their lives so that they can be challenged to become Christians. Truly, it may be difficult to love the enemies, but Christ requires that we love them also! We are challenged to pray for those who spitefully deal with us. Therefore, we must seek God's strength to do our due diligence. Believers must pray for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to meet God's expectations in all ramifications. With God's strength available for us, we can do all things! We can love our friends and enemies; we can pray for those who despise us. When we seek God's face for strength, we can stand uprightly and be true soldiers of Christ who will not fail the heavenly Master.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus Christ, please teach me how to be a good Christian. Empower me to run my Christian race according to the bible. Let your Holy Spirit give me strength to love you wholeheartedly; empower me to love my fellow believers, and give me the grace to love unbelievers also. Let your true love reign supremely in my heart, so that your name can be glorified always. Please let the light of your gospel so shine in this dark age, so that all people can come to your true love and be saved. Please do these things and many more for the sake of your name. For I make all my request in your precious name Jesus Christ. Amen.
