The Unique Birth Of Jesus
July 4 - Devotion
The story of Jesus Christ was completely unique. A virgin gave birth to a miracle child who turned around to save the world. The scripture presented,
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:18-21).
The birth story of Jesus Christ was completely different from any other human being. His mother Mary did not conceive him out of a relationship with any man. She was visited by the Holy Spirit to conceived Jesus. The miracle child grew in grace, strength, and power to fulfill his destiny - which was to save the world. Christ indeed occupied his position. He demonstrated significant strength; performed signs and wonders, and proclaimed God's kingdom. Messiah opened the pathway of salvation for all people to become saved. He died for sinners and resurrected to earn his followers the gift of eternal life. Hence, anyone who confesses Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior will be saved. Meanwhile, the salvation of Jesus Christ does not apply to Christians only, anyone who believes him shall be saved – irrespective of religion, race, or culture.
Dear Jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of God who came to save the world. Therefore, I confess you (Jesus Christ) as my personal Lord and Savior; I give you my complete life, and I will serve you for the rest of my life. Please write my name in the book of life, and keep me fit for your second coming so that I can be raptured with you to heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
