Signs Of End Time
Christians are to be careful of false doctrines and avoid them. The scripture warned,
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth” (1 Timothy 4:1-3).
Lesson:
This generation has witnessed many events and practices which the scripture has predicated to be signs of End Time. “False Doctrine” is one of the signs (Matthew 24). Believers are warned to be sensitive to bible teachers and ensure they are not derailed. While it is important to appreciate God's servants, we must still be careful of the teachings that we receive. Believers must be sensitive to comply with the bible always. Our degraded society has proven that some preachers, teachers, prophets, and/or others would appear to use a subtle approach to deceive their audience. In fact, the bible warned that some ministers would even perform miracles to manipulate people for their selfish gains and haul people to hellfire. However, Christians must ensure to avoid pitfalls; they must be students of the bible themselves. Believers must read their bible on a consistent basis, and allow the Holy Spirit to give them godly interpretations. A good Christian must validate any teaching that he/she receives with the bible! All believers must ensure to be on the right track and stand uprightly with God in order to make it to heaven.
Prayer:
Dear God, please help me to be careful not to entertain false teachings. Help me to only entertain teachings that comply with bible standards. Do not let me become a victim of false teaching and miss the opportunity of going to heaven. Give me the grace to daily study my bible to establish all truth, so that I can meet you in heaven on the last day. Please keep my feet firm in the faith, and count me worthy for your eternal kingdom! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
