Love

The scripture explained the essential requirement for faithful Christian living. LOVE! It is written,

“Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk” (1 Timothy 1:5-6).

Lesson:

Love is a key factor that makes Christianity relevant in the world. The whole thing about love started with God: He loved the world and sent his Son Jesus Christ to save it from destruction (John 3:16). Christ came to earth for the sake of love: He preached love and died for love! Therefore, anyone who has hope of going to heaven must have love! However, love must not be misinterpreted for it to be relevant. Love must be void of evil. Since God's love for humanity is pure and perfect (agape), whatever we call love must be undefiled also. Anyone who claims to have love must demonstrate it to glorify God. God's children must have unconditional true and thorough love. Our love for fellow humans must be void of selfishness. Once we satisfy God with the desired demonstration of love, he will shower his blessings on us beyond what anyone can imagine!

Prayer:

Dear God, I understand that love is a very important factor that leads to godliness and holiness. No one will inherit your kingdom without true love. Therefore, I humbly seek your Spirit of true love. Please give me your Holy Spirit to truly love you and love other people around me! Let my love for you be unconditional, and let me serve you wholeheartedly. Empower me to love my friends and neighbors, and sincerely seek their peace and prosperity. Please, keep my heart pure, so that I will live an acceptable life to is fit to inherit your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
