God Will Not Allow Devil To Prevail Against You
Enemies mocked Israelites, and they asked them to sing their melodious Zion songs in the foreign land, but the Israelites refused. Instead, Israelites lamented in protest as reported,
“By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept when we remembered Zion. We hung out harps upon the willows in the midst of it. For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, and those who plundered us requested mirth, saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!” How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land?” (Psalm 137:1-4).
Lesson:
Satan and his forces love to mock God’s children during distress. The enemies have a field day when a Christian falls to their traps, and they would be quick to persecute, condemn, and ridicule him/her. However, God cares for his children, and he will not allow Satan (and his evil elements) to prevail over them. God will help his children rise above their challenges; he will restore them from their pitfalls, and help them to come to a renewed relationship with him. The Creator will forgive and restore his children to his true love. However, God’s children are not losers, but Satan and his forces are! While the enemies might enjoy brief victory over a Christian who fell from grace, they have eternal condemnation to suffer. Satan (who has no repentance and forgiveness opportunity ) will spend his eternal life in hellfire – and his attaché will follow suit to the same location. Jesus’ followers will remain in heaven to enjoy his everlasting benefits!
Prayer:
Praise God I am a child of God! Praise God, I am a redeemed person of the Lord! It is my choice to sing God’s songs, and his praises shall ever remain in my mouth. Satan has lost his battle over my life. I will neither sing nor dance before him again. My total life is committed to God, and his praises shall ever remain in my mouth, I will praise God from now and evermore. Thanks to Jesus Christ who turned me to God! Amen.
