God Will Fight For Us

King Saul made a wrong turn when he attempted to kill David, and he fell into David’s domain. Meanwhile, David showed mercy on his brutal enemy, and he allowed him to go scot-free! The scripture explained what motivated David to free King Saul. David had said to his men,

“The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord” (1 Samuel 24:6).

Lesson:

Children of God must realize that our battles are God’s battle, and we should allow him to fight them. It does not make sense for us to fight a battle that God is interested to fight by himself. We should allow him to fight his own battle, rather than aggravating ourselves and wasting our energy. Children of God ought to take the back seat and watch God performing wonders. If God is offensive towards the enemies, they are in trouble! God will not stop a battle that he started until he finishes it, and he will ensure that the battle does not resurface again! Meanwhile, with God in action, we will not have a reason to sweat or shed tears, neither would we have any reason to blame ourselves for personal action.

Prayer:

Dear God, please fight my battles for me. Do not allow my enemies to triumph. Confuse and incapacitate them so that they will not have upper hands over me. Also, do not let me take laws into my hands and irresponsibly attack my adversaries. Enable me to glorify you in all matters. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
