God Will Defend His Servants

Judah authority punished Jeremiah for speaking of God's mind. They threw him into a pit with the hope of starving him to death. The scripture reported,

“So they took Jeremiah and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the king’s son, which was in the court of the prison, and they let Jeremiah down with ropes. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire. So Jeremiah sank in the mire” (Jeremiah 38:6).

We live in a world where people show little respect for God, and they would abuse God's servants to hurt God. God's servants are often abused; misunderstood, and misrepresented. Meanwhile, Jehovah cannot be happy with those who abuse his servants. Since they are his oracles, God will defend his servants! People who abuse them will have so many consequences to pay for! Instead of irrational behaviors towards God's servants, people can choose to understand their tasks and honor them.

God's servants are God's oracles; they speak God's mind. God's servants are expected to tell the truth of the scripture always, and people are expected to follow their lead. God's servants are answerable to God, they are not answerable to us - and we should not take them for granted! We should not harass God’s servants for performing their roles; instead, we should follow their instructions. It is important that we honor God's servants since they represent God; whatsoever we do to them is what we have technically done to God himself. A person who expects some benefits from God should not attempt to dishonor his servants!

Dear God, I understand that it is disastrous to dishonor your servants. You will punish anyone who abuses people that you have commissioned with special assignments. Therefore, I am determined to start honoring your servants. I am sorry for how I have mishandled your servants in the past. From now on, I will honor your servants. I will support them in any capacity so that they can be motivated to keep serving you in good spirit. Please give me the grace to start doing things rightly! At the same time, I am seizing this opportunity to pray for your servants throughout the world, that you will anoint them with grace to keep serving you. Give them the energy to keep obeying you, and prosper them in all their ways - so that your name can be praised in their lives. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
